We all know that brows are super important these days. They’re basically the focal point of your face as they’re the perfect way to frame your face. Here on Littlewoods Ireland Blog, I’ve talked about ombré brows, but right now, we’re taking it back to basics. But do you know exactly how your brows should be shaped to suit your face? From where they should start and end, to exactly where your arch should be. Get the lowdown on brow mapping right with these simple steps!
Brow mapping is something that anyone can do at home, as it’s super easy. Although brows can be a personal preference kind of thing, brow mapping gives you a great guideline for your brows. All you need to do is grab a mirror, a brow pencil (or whatever your preferred brow product is!) and something to use as a straight line, such as a makeup brush. We’ll start off by outlining exactly where your brows should start, arch and end.
Start by holding the makeup brush in a straight line from the base of your nose up to your eyebrow. Take your brow pencil and draw a small line where the makeup brush meets your brow. Ideally, this is where your brows should start.
Next up, look straight ahead and hold the makeup brush from the same part of your nose, through the pupil of your eye. This is where your brow arch will be. Again, draw a small line right here.
Finally, hold the makeup brush from the same base point of your nose right through to the furthest corner of your eye. This is the area where your brow should end. Draw your final mark with the brow pencil right here.
Fill ‘Em In
Fill your brows in as normal, but this time, let the guidelines that you drew act almost as a stencil. For super defined and sculpted brows, I love the Maybelline Brow Precise Micro Pencil. It’s the ideal size to fill in full brows in an instant or to draw faux brow hairs if your brows are more on the sparse side. For added volume, Benefit Gimme Brow is without a doubt, my go-to brow product.
Top Tip! Work Gimme Brow backwards through your brow hairs for extra volume.
That Extra Mile

With a high number of active ingredients to help your brow hairs grow stronger than ever, it’s gone straight into my wishlist!
