Rosie Webster, aka Helen Flanagan, is making a surprise return to the cobbles after a five-year absence.

The actress will begin filming at the end of the year, and will be back on your screens in February.

Always a controversial character on the show, Rosie will return to surprise her parents after a trip to Miami with her sister Sophie.

However, it will be a short lived visit as she will only be on our screens until Spring.

Rosie left Weatherfield five years ago to pursue her dreams of being a star and while Sally went to visit her, she has never returned to the show before now.

Flanagan welcomed her first child, Matilda, with partner Scott Sinclair since leaving the show and said that she is looking forward to reviving her character.

“I’m so excited to be returning to Coronation Street and being part of the Webster family again.”

Rosie recently appeared on Loose Women and discussed her Corrie past, her return to the cobbles, motherhood and more.
