From Monday to Sunday, we’re all used to the hectic runaround! Usually, once we get a chance to relax we grab it with both hands – bliss! Although during those times it’s also nice to spend a bit of time doing something rather than feeling like it’s a wasted couple of hours. Not that there’s anything wrong with a good Netflix session! But if you’re thinking of starting a new hobby to get you through the rest of the year, here are five hobbies that won’t cost you a lot of time or money! They’re ideal for busy lifestyles too.
Colouring for Mindfulness
Adult colouring books proved to be such a hit in the past few years and it’s no wonder why. Colouring is said to relieve stress, help with creativity and is an alternative to meditation. Just to name a few! As many of us grew up with a least one colouring book, it also has a nice sense of nostalgia to it.

Download a New Podcast
A lot of us may feel like our phone is an extension of our arms at this rate. So why not use it as your own personal storyteller too? From mediation to cooking and blogging to chat shows, whatever your interest, there’s plenty of podcasts relating to it! So grab your earphones, sit back with a tea or coffee and enjoy!

Get Up & Out
Dig out your runners from the back of the wardrobe and get yourself out walking. And we don’t mean walking to the shop around the corner to get a litre of milk! Take a half an hour at the weekend to yourself to have a stroll. You’ll love it in no time! Even use this time to listen to your favourite podcast.

Cooking and Baking
If you’re the designated cook of the house, you may feel as if you’re already spending too much time cooking as it is. But if you step outside of your comfort zone once in a while it could become your favourite thing to do. Research new recipes and try one each week. Stick on your ideal playlist and enjoy! If you’re not usually found whipping up something tasty in the kitchen, now is your chance. Start off with something easy like a beef stew. You may as well try baking the dessert while you’re there! These chocolate brownies are just delicious.

Photography
If you’re serious about photography, it takes a lot of time, as well as a lot from your bank account. But if you’re thinking of trying out photography as a hobby, it will cost you nothing! Play around with the camera settings on your phone, as well as lighting and angles. It’s all about learning! Download a couple of photo editing apps and use them to enhance your photographs, rather than completely changing them. You’ll be surprised at the amazing photos you can get by simply going on a stroll around your local area.

While we love to keep busy, these hobbies will definitely help with that! But we also love having time to relax and treat yourself, we deserve it after all! Check out these nine ways to treat yourself, without breaking the bank!
