Wedding trends are constantly coming and going, from brides-to-be shunning dresses and fancy occasion wear for the big day to ignoring gender roles when it comes to choosing a maid of honour or best man.

Food is one of the most important aspects of any celebration and while we’ll never say no to a basket of cocktail sausages, one Irish couple has come up with a brilliant spin on the ‘late-night snack’ for their wedding reception.

This ‘crisp sandwich’ cart was snapped by DJ Lloyd Bracken at a wedding at the Abbeyleix Manor Hotel in Laois and we can imagine that it was a huge hit with hungry guests after a busy night on the dance floor.

The cart, which was provided by the hotel according to DailyEdge.ie, included a box of cheese and onion crisps and several trays of bread for making DIY crisp sandwiches.

The image has since gone viral and will no doubt inspire many other Irish couples to try this for their own upcoming nuptials.

We have a serious craving now!
