Today sees the release of Everest, Keira Knightley and Emily Watson’s latest masterpiece. I can confidently say that without having seen it because really, when does a cast like this ever fail (early reviews have been pretty favourable – even the 3D is good in this one, apparently!)? The movie will see these two ladies, along with Robin Wright, Jake Gyllenhaal, Jason Clarke and a whole slew of other amazing actors take on the ultimate challenge of climbing Mount Everest.
While I can’t tell you who’ll reach the peak of the mountain, but I do know that two of the cast have already reached the peak of fashion. Here’s a look at Keira and Emily’s most gorgeous red carpet dresses and how you can recreate their looks on a budget.
For Emily Watson’s classic look, start with this Halter Neck Jersey Maxi Dress. It’s a similar length to Emily’s, making it great for formal events like a college ball or black tie wedding. Add some sparkle with this Lipsy Trio Heart Earring Set and carry this Miss KG Harrow Clutch Bag.
To achieve Emily’s loose waves, set your hair in these BaByliss Heated Ceramic Rollers. These will work best on day old hair when it’s slightly more oily than freshly washed. Hold everything in place by using a styling product. This Fudge Urban Iced Styling Mousse works well as a pre-styling product.
Keira Knightley has long been hailed as a princess of England’s modern classic style. This means that sometimes we see her in a Breton top, boyfriend jeans with a woolly hat, looking like an art school student. Other times, she’ll look like the most glorious English rose with one of her vintage-inspired evening dresses and picture perfect make-up. And she miraculously looks just as good either way. I love this simple navy dress she wore with subtle white detailing. For a similar, if a little bit glitzier, look try this Definitions Embellished Maxi Dress. If it’s cold and you need to cover up, use with this classic Myleene Klass Trench Coat and keep the look nice and classy with these Point Court Microsuede Heels.
This Fossil Preston Leather Shoulder Bag will tie both colours together nicely. To copy Keira’s smoky make-up look, start with this Bourjois Smoky Stories Eyeshadow. Smudge on some Barry M Kohl Pencil and add on these Eylure Volume Lash No: 100 for added drama.
Add some curls to your hair using this Remington Curl Revlolution before loosely tying it back and you’ll be channeling your inner Keira in no time!
