As Ireland’s most successful curvy model, Louise O’Reilly has effortless style, whether she’s on a magazine cover or on a Dublin street.
Lucky for us, the Malahide girl has a fashion blog that shares all, and we follow Style Me Curvy religiously.
For SS15 we asked her to raid our collections and pick out the best pieces for beach to bar looks this summer.
She went straight for the kimono, maxi dress and playsuit, giving us advice on how to style each one for the season upon us. All we need now is for her to pack our bags for us!
On and off-beach Dresses
When planning your holiday wardrobe, you’ve got a couple of key elements to keep in mind; style and how easy it is to pack. This dip dip dye maxi dress ticks both boxes. The beautiful neck detail and the navy and white acid wash makes it ideal for dressing up in the evening time, yet it wouldn’t look out of place by the pool.
Peach is a great holiday colour. It’s flattering on all skin tones – especially with light tan (sally up!). The capped sleeves on this lace flare dress give you a little bit of extra coverage if you prefer not to show off your arms. For the beach to bar look, team with a pair of sandals. Dress up in the evening with a nice belt and a glitzy statement necklace.
Playsuits are so handy for holiday wear. You can simply throw them on over your bikini for the beach look, but add heels and you’re suddenly all set for a poolside party.
The two layers of this printed playsuit make it a really flattering outfit for any body shape. It’s especially ideal for the bustier woman who wants to create the illusion of more curves. It then drapes flatteringly over the tummy area. Let the beautiful print design do the work for you and go minimal with the accessories.
If you haven’t got a kimono yet, this summer is the time to invest. It will transform any simple shorts-and-tee outfit, and is effortlessly glam for evening wear. Of course you can’t avoid fringing this season either, but once you slip this boho print kimono on you’ll love how the fabric moves.
An embroidered kimono does all the work for you, meaning you can be light on the accessories. Pair with simple shorts for an elegant day look. To jazz up your outfit for the evening time, go for a skirt, a simple plain top, clutch bag and a pair of killer heels.
