We spoke to a number of hurlers and camogie players, and they let us know what their ultimate cheat meal is, when the time comes that they can allow themselves a little leeway in the food department.
“My ultimate guilty food pleasure is cookies with a cup of tea, once the packet is open, it’s hard to stop.”
“Papa John’s Pizza I suppose!”
Jackie is more of a savoury fan when it comes to his cheat meal.
“A white chicken fillet roll with cheese!”
“Butter cream icing. I once made a batch for myself, and just ate all the icing- no cake!”
“I’d have to say Apache pizza.”
“Cheese taco bacon!”
“A steak sandwich. I would go home to my mother and get her to make me it! It’s a cheat meal because I layer it with everything!”
“A whole garlic bread baguette and a bottle of coke as a snack….”
“I would say a chicken wrap meal with a can of coke from Casey’s in Patrickswell.”
Hillbillies chicken! Just the skin even alone. It’s unreal, the gravy!
