Mother’s Day Moments

Happy Mother’s Day! We’ve asked some marvellous mothers to share their Mother’s Day moments with us.

Littlewoods Ireland would like to wish a big happy Mother’s Day to all mothers and mother figures today!  A mother’s duties can be endless, there are no other words to describe a mother other than a Wonder Woman.  We asked some marvellous mothers to share their Mother’s Day moments with us.  What Mother’s Day is all about for them and what they’ll be getting up to.

If you have no big plans this Mother’s Day, check out these sure ways to treat your mam this Sunday.

Laura – Confessions of an Irish Mammy

“We won’t do anything, in particular, to celebrate Mother’s Day, to be honest.  But I’m always happy to get little handmade cards from the boys!  No doubt they’re making something in school and will be all excited to give them to me.  A simple “Mammy I Love You” card will do me just nicely.  Although now that we have a 4 week old too, a lie in wouldn’t hurt as well!”

Jade – Big Brows Messy Hair

“Being a mom is, indeed, one of the most difficult and challenging jobs in the world.  Some days are harder than others but nothing can ever compare to that feeling of pure unconditional love.

The “best” part of being a mom is getting to experience on a daily basis my son Dylan’s’ successes.  Dylan has a diagnosis of level 3 Autism and is present with a learning disability; so as you can imagine nothing comes easily to him.  I get joy and excitement every day watching what he will accomplish next.

I love how I feel like my son is teaching me to be the best version of myself that I can be.  As a mom, I need to be a patient, compassionate and more rational than I generally am able to be on my own.  He brings out the best in me.”

Kelly – Mummy Moments

“Mother’s Day to me is a day to reflect on all motherhood has brought to my life, pure joy, a love I didn’t know existed, fun, madness and a lot of sleepless nights.  But for every sleepless hour, there are plenty of laughs, cuddles and moments that make it into the memory bank.

As an only child to a single mum, it’s important for me to spend time with my own mum.  So this year it’s some cake with my boys, then myself and my mama are heading for some much-needed pampering for the afternoon…pure bliss!”
