So, rather than waiting for pay-day to treat yourself to that handbag you’ve had your eye on, treat yourself today. Without breaking the bank! Here are nine ways that you can treat yourself the second you get home from work.
Fresh bed linen
After a long day, there’s nothing better than jumping into your warm, cosy bed. Particularly if you have brand new, fresh sheets. Treat yourself to a new set of linen and take full advantage by having an extra long lie in. You completely deserve it.
Grab Your Walking Shoes

Opt for Flowers
Treat you, and treat your home! Treat yourself to a fabulous bunch of flowers for your favourite room of your house. They’ll be the first thing you see when you walk into that room and will be sure to put a smile on your face.
Book a Day Off Work
Usually, we save up our annual leave until we have places to, people to see and things to do. Use just one of those days as a chill day. Book a day off mid-week, get a supply of your favourite food, stay in your comfiest clothes. Relax! It will feel like the ultimate treat when you’re chilling in your pyjamas at 12 o’clock on a Wednesday.
Read an Actual Book
Too often, we’re all glued to our phones, TVs and laptops. Take some time to curl up with a book. Either an old favourite or one that you just never got around to reading. Because it’s so rare, it will feel like such a treat. Pop on the kettle, sit back and relax.
Get That Takeaway You’ve Been Thinking About All Week
It’s January, we’re doing our best to eat well and feeling good about it. But there are those days when your favourite takeaway would be the ideal way to finish off the day. If you’ve been thinking about a certain kind of food all week or all day even. Treat yourself to it! Minus the guilt, it’s well deserved!
Have An At-Home Spa Night
Go all out and turn your home into a mini spa retreat. Light candles, take out all of your skincare, run a bath and take an evening to relax. Your skin will thank you for it and you’ll feel amazing! If you can’t go for the full spa idea, take an extra five minutes while taking your makeup off to give your skin some extra TLC.
Make Yourself Breakfast in Bed
Rather than rushing around on weekend mornings, take some extra time for yourself. Make your favourite brekkie (we love these breakfast roll-ups, the ultimate treat!) and head straight back to bed. Whatever your plans are that day, push them back a half an hour. Enjoy!
