Lasagna could be the ultimate comfort dish. It’s definitely one of our faves! For a simple, yet delicious lasagna, we’ve got the perfect recipe. There’s also an added bonus! Our delish lasagna is cooked up with one, single pot. A tasty dinner with minimal washing up – what could be better? Ideal for a Sunday full of relaxing moments!
Ingredients
for 4 servings
- 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
- 50g lardons (bacon pieces)
- 650g ground beef
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons oregano
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 tins chopped tomatoes
- 500g passata
- 6 lasagna sheets
- 100g mozzarella grated cheese
- 1 ball of mozzarella
- a hand full of basil leaves
White Sauce:
- 1 tub ricotta cheese
- 50g parmesan
- 4 Tablespoons of milk
Preparation
- Preheat oven to 160°C
- In a bowl, add all the white sauce ingredients and mix until combined
- Heat the oil in the pan over high heat
- Add onions and salt and cook until soft
- Then, add bacon bits and cook until crisp
- Add beef, garlic and oregano and cook until brown
- Add one tin of chopped tomatoes and ¾ of the passata
- Push some of the beef mixture to one side and slide half the lasagne sheets under, breaking into smaller pieces to fill the sides, moving the beef around to evenly distribute the lasagna and cover all the sheets
- Add the remaining lasagna sheets evenly and top with the remaining 1/4 of the passata
- Top with the white sauce ricotta mix and spread evenly
- Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese, add sliced mozzarella sprinkle basil leaves
- Bake in the oven for 25 minutes until golden brown.
