Pan Stars' Red Carpet Style

One of our favourite childhood classics has gotten a 21st Century makeover with the help of Hugh Jackman, Garrett Hedlund and newcomer Levi Miller in Pan, the tale of how a young boy named Peter first met the man who would one day be known as Captain Hook. Of course, not to let the boys have all the fun, standing beside these great men are the equally great women Rooney Mara, Amanda Seyfried and Cara Delevingne.

Alongside their incredible acting skills, these girls also know how to dress to impress. Here’s a look back at some of their most gorgeous red carpet looks, and tips on how you can recreate their best dresses on a non-blockbuster budget just in time for all of those seasonal parties.

Rooney Mara's White Lace DressRooney Mara

In Pan, Rooney Mara plays Tiger Lilly, a fierce warrior-princess ho even pirates are afraid off. Her dress sense is tribal and minimalist, not exactly suitable for your typical night out, but that’s just the part she plays. In real life Rooney Mara is one of the most stylish ladies currently gracing the red carpet.

I just love this 1940s-inspired long sleeve dress look Miss Mara wore to the Cannes Film Festival. It was so simple yet classy and, lucky for you, easy to recreate on a budget.

Pair this girly French Connection Lace Shift Dress with these Shoe Box Isabella Nude Ankle Strap Heeled Sandals and accessorise with this vintage-inspired Lipsy Faux Fur Crossbody Bag and Myleene Klass Faux Fox Fur Coat. This is a great look for a wedding, family event or just an extra special date night.

Cara Delevingne's Cross Strappy DressCara Delevingne

Cara Delevingne plays a mermaid (actually, she plays a whole bunch of them – they’re all identical for some reason) in Pan but she’s no fish out of water when it comes to fashion. As she was an accomplished model long before she turned her hand to acting (oh to be young, beautiful and talented!) Cara rarely gets it wrong when it comes to red carpet style, and this black dress which she wore to the Golden Globes after party is perfect for a night out on the town. For a slightly classier alternative to Cara’s black number try this Rare Multi Strap Midi Dress which also has some cool strappy detailing on the chest. For shoes, go with these funky Miss KG Caged Heel Sandals and add on this Love-My-Soul Textured Clutch and Oversized Faux Fur Collar Coat from Vero Moda to add some texture. If you want to add just a small bit of bling, wear this Drop Back Multi Chain Necklace and toughen up the whole look with smokey eye make-up using this NYX Eye Shadow Palette. Amanda Seyfried's Red Carpet LBDAmanda Seyfried

Amanda Seyfried plays the small but very important role of Peter’s mother in Pan. Despite not getting to see too much of her, she manages to make a big impact – make no mistake, Amanda is as stylish as they come!

To copy Amanda’s chic LBD, wear this Rare Fringed Mesh Bodycon Dress with these cool Miss KG Faze Platform Sandals. For the autumn and winter months, add some warm berry tones with this Fringed Crossbody Bag from Lipsy by Fleur and this stylish Definitions Cuff Ponte Blazer.

And to jazz the look up a notch further, apply some of this classic Bourjois Rouge Edition Lipstick. To give the illusion of Amanda’s floral embroidery on the neckline of the dress, pop on a floral statement necklace like this Fiorelli Preciosa Crystal Statement Necklace.
