With Halloween and the mid term break just around the corner, it’s time to get the thinking caps on – what are you going to do with your costumed kids? The good news is that us Littlewoods Ireland ghouls have scoured the land for great ghostly activities for you and your little terrors! Here’s our low down on some of the best and most popular Halloween events being held around the country this midterm.

Fright Night at Fota House, Co. Cork

Want to fit some extra exercise in this midterm for the kids? Then bring them for a ghastly walk! Fright night at Fota centres around taking the kids on a creepy Halloween ‘Fright Walk’ through the Arboretum at Fota House  – because who knows what you might find in the gardens after dark! Fota House has been holding their Fright night events at Halloween for the past few years, it’s for families with kids aged 7 and up and starts on the 26th October. There’s lots to do with your little ghouls..

Halloween Ghost Hunters @ Tayto Park, Co. Meath

Word has it that there has been a lot of strange happenings in the spooky ghost mansion at Tayto Park!  From the 21st of October you and your little ones can become Ghost hunters at Tayto Park and help to identify the secrets and mysteries within! This event is for kids aged 6 plus and opens on the 21st of October.  Admission is €6, but the good news is that all kids under 12 that wear a Halloween costume on October 31st get free admission to the Park – a great bargain for Midterm! Pumpkin patch fun in Kilruddery House & Gardens, Co. Wicklow

If dressing up isn’t your thing and you want something that’s fun but a little less scary then bring the family to Killruddery House & Gardens for a weekend of bright and seasonal fun! There you can visit the pumpkin patch in the Walled Garden and choose a pumpkin of your own with help from a farmer and after that you can design it and have it carved out by a master craftsman- cool or what! A great afternoon out for kids and parents who love art & craft activities. Pumpkin Carving is €15 and this prices includes one pumpkin and garden entrance for 2 adults & 2 children.
