The star, who left the soap in recent weeks, took to Twitter to confirm the arrival of her second child but has decided to keep the baby’s name under wraps for now.

Lane welcomed her first child with husband Tom Shaw in 2014 and confirmed in February that she would leaving her role as Kylie Platt behind after five years on the ITV drama.
Viewers recently saw Kylie being killed on the cobbles after an altercation with Clayton and the 30-year-old previously revealed that moving on from Corrie wasn’t an easy decision.
“This has not been an easy decision for me to make. I have enjoyed every moment of my time onCoronation Street and learnt so much in the process,” she said.
“I have an amazing on-screen family who have become friends for life, so this decision was not taken lightly. But sometimes you just have to follow your heart and I am excited about what the future has to offer both personally and professionally.”
Prior to her departure, Lane admitted that she was enjoying the “chaos” of motherhood.
“It’s been very hard; I’m not going to deny that. But I’ve just got on with it. I’ve got a great support network at home and at work. I’ve not had sleepless nights; I’ve been very lucky. He’s a very, very good baby and very content,” she explained.
“Motherhood is a whole new ball game but I love the chaos. It’s fabulous; your whole life changes in an instant.”
