It’s that time of year when we sit in awe of the amazing fashion, style and the sheer creativeness that hit the runways around the world. Fashion escapades kicked off in New York for NYFW and then rolled over to the other side of the globe for London Fashion Week. LFW began last Friday and our social media has been painted all over our social media pages since. We’re just loving the LFW looks – but the real question is what trends are the catwalk setting? And of course, how do we bring these looks into an everyday, wearable wardrobe?
Colour Around Each Corner
The runaways were set alight with colour this week. Irish designer Richard Malone showcased a bright and colourful collection that left us pining for more colour in our wardrobes! Kicking off with a range of blue shades, this bright blue number is first on our list.
As if a more colourful wardrobe wasn’t already on our horizons! Rainbow dresses seem to be the way forward for A/W ’18. It’s all about rainbow colours and texture in this Ashish number. To bring this style into your wardrobe right now, go for a textured dress that’s full of colour. We’re loving this sequin piece, the perfect shape and style!
Slip dresses aren’t going anywhere in 2018. Roland Mouret layered a slip dress with underlying material. This is something that we just need in our wardrobes! A red slip dress is fabulous alone or layered with your favourite tee and sleek Converse for a chic summer look.
Oversized pieces are a must for Autumn/Winter, so they were, of course, going to appear on the runway. Jasper Conran teamed oversized knits with pleated midi skirts along with clashing block colours for a bold, beautiful look. For our spring wardrobes, we’re thinking this oversized River Island knit is the perfect go to. Bang on trend from the catwalk and a gorgeous spring colour.
