The 2017 GAA All-Star Awards took place last Friday night, and the style on offer was impressive. Both the players and their other halves stepped it up with their fashion, and their looks were far from what we’re used to seeing them in on the pitch!

While many classic black tuxedos were seen, a lot of athletes looked outside the box for inspiration, opting for prints and accessories.

Littlewoods Ireland proudly dressed some of those in attendance at the ceremony, including a winning midfielder.

The players

Tipperary’s Padraic Maher, who took home his 5th All-Star last weekend, pushed boundaries in a navy check V by Very three piece. He wore this with a classic white shirt, and silver bow tie. It’s a different colour wheel than his usual blue and gold!

Waterford hurler Austin Gleeson kept it classic in an all-black  V by Very tuxedo with a white shirt, black bow tie and black shoes. This is a look that never goes out of style.

Former Kilkenny hurler Jackie Tyrrell was also in attendance at the event. He is no stranger to the All-Star Awards, having won 4 of them during his time playing.  Jackie took a risk with his look on Friday night, wearing a grey check V by Very three piece, and it totally paid off.
