Well, that’s it folks! The Hurling Championship has come and gone for another summer, and congratulations are in order for Limerick who are All-Ireland Champions!

If you are missing some hurling action this weekend, then don’t worry, we’ve got just what you need! Take a look back at some of our most standout #StyleOfPlay moments from the Championship!

Round Robin Stages

Conor Lehane’s Goal – Cork v Clare

20 minutes into the second half of this match, the Rebels were leading by a point in when this fantastic goal was scored by Lehane.

Watch how the sliotar nearly goes out of play but is kept in by Patrick Horgan and is then knocked single-handed into the back of the net by Conor Lehane. Superb!

Anthony Nash’s Save – Cork v Tipperary

In the final few minutes of this Munster clash between Cork and Tipperary, Tipperary were behind by 3 and hungry for a goal.

After a scramble in front of the Cork goal, John ‘Bubbles’ O’Dwyer rocketed the sliotar towards the nets, only for Nash to save the shot at lightning speed. Watch how he quickly hits the ground to deflect the shot out. Fantastic!

Ian Galvin’s Goal – Clare v Tipperary

Clare were trailing behind Tipperary for the majority of this game until this wonderous goal came from Ian Galvin and turned the game well and truly on its head.

TJ Reid’s Equalizing point – Kilkenny v Galway, Leinster Final

As the final seconds of injury time ticked away on the clock, Kilkenny were lagging behind by one in the Leinster Final. They needed a point to draw the match equal and stay in the game.

Watch how TJ Reid, does exactly that for the Cats with this point and forces the game to a replay!


Peter Duggan’s Point – Clare v Galway, Semi-Final

Clare free-taker and main man, Duggan was phenomenal in the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Semi-Final. This clip shows just exactly how talented he is. Absolutely outstanding!

Nickie Quaid’s save – Limerick v Cork, Semi-Final

During the All-Ireland Semi-Final Limerick’s keeper, Nickie Quaid kept his team in the game with this exceptional save. Watch how he puts his body on the line to prevent Cork’s Seamus Harnedy from getting a goal!

Shane O’Donnell’s Goal – Clare v Galway Semi-Final Replay

Although Clare didn’t win the game, this goal from O’Donnell kept them in it. Watch how he manages to burst past the Galway defence and finds the back of the net!

Shane Dowling’s Goal -Limerick v Galway. All-Ireland Final

At this point in the match, Limerick were ahead by 5 points. This goal from Dowling sent the Limerick supporters into over-drive, as it looked like a green victory was now certain. Credit must be given to Galway, who in the 8 minutes of injury, hit the back of the net twice, and narrowly lost the game by a point. A stellar performance from both teams!
